I’m excited to share this new tutorial, where I'll guide you through the entire process of creating a stylized rifle for video games! We'll cover everything from blockout to final render, breaking down each stage to make it easy to follow.
Here’s what you can expect:
-
Blockout: We’ll start with an overview of the concept and move straight into creating the basic blockout, focusing on proportions and silhouette.
-
High Poly Modeling in Maya: Using subdivision modeling, we'll build the high-poly model, adding details and refining the stylized look.
-
Low Poly Creation & UVs: From the high-poly model, we’ll create a game-ready low-poly version, unwrap UVs, and set up baking groups for clean results.
-
Baking & Texturing: After setting everything up in Maya, we’ll bake the textures in Marmoset, then bring the model into Substance Painter for texturing. Here, we'll add colors, materials, and stylized details to bring the asset to life.
-
Final Rendering in Marmoset: With textures applied, we’ll take our final asset back to Marmoset for lighting and rendering, capturing high-quality shots of the finished model.
This full, 11.5-hour tutorial is narrated in English and packed with insights to help you develop or refine your own workflow.
