One map. Every UV set.
π Official page: https://animpal.app/en/products/texture-combiner
Combining textures that live on different UV layouts means opening Photoshop and stacking layers by hand: once for base color, again for roughness, again for normal, again for every other map in the set. TextureCombiner does the whole set in one pass, using your own UV layouts to decide where everything lands.
Windows desktop app. The textures can come from anywhere: Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, Substance, ZBrush, a scan, a marketplace download.

β¨ What it does
π© Stop stitching maps by hand
Photoshop, layer by layer, mask by mask, and then you do it again for the next map type, and again for the next asset. It is the kind of work that is not hard, just long, and it has to be exactly right or the bake is wrong.
β¨ Drop in the whole set
Point it at a folder and it reads the whole lot. Base color, normal, roughness, metallic, displacement and AO are sorted into their own rows automatically. No naming convention to learn, no assigning slots one file at a time.
β‘ Your UV layouts decide the merge
This is the part that has to be trusted, so it is the part that is not guessed. Every island keeps the coordinates it already had: the merge follows your UV layouts rather than repacking them, so nothing shifts and nothing lands in the wrong place. Hit View UV Layout on the result and the islands are exactly where you left them.
π― Up to 8 UV sets, one map
Main plus seven more, merged in a single pass. Every set carries its own full stack of map types, and all of them collapse into one map per type.
ποΈ Export the way you already work
EXR, PNG, TGA and JPG at 8 bit or 16 bit, up to 8192, with UDIM tile output when you need it. Dilation is adjustable, and the output naming is yours to set, so what comes out drops into your existing folder structure without renaming.
π Check it before you commit
Preview the merged result channel by channel, in place. No test export, no round trip into the renderer to find out whether the seam landed right.
π¨ Straight back into your render
One material, one set of maps, wired up and rendering. The clip runs the whole round trip: separate assets on separate layouts, through the combine, into a finished render.
π₯οΈ Requirements
-
Platform: Windows desktop app
-
Source textures: Any 3D software. The app reads image files, not scene files.
-
Max resolution: 8192
-
UV sets per pass: Up to 8
-
Formats: EXR Β· PNG Β· TGA Β· JPG Β· UDIM Β· 8/16 bit
π¦ What you get
- AnimPal_TextureCombiner_v2026.01.zip (70.4 MB)
- Unzip and run AnimPal_TextureCombiner_v2026.01.exe. There is no installer and no admin rights are needed.
π« What it does not do
- It does not unwrap UVs, it does not paint textures, and it does not build materials. It solves one problem: textures that live on several different UV layouts, combined onto one map per type, using those layouts as the source of truth.
π Licences
-
Personal: one person, on every computer they work on.
-
Studio: up to 10 people in one team.
- Commercial use is fine. Please don't share or resell the files.
β FAQ
Which texture types does it detect?
Base color, normal, roughness, metallic, displacement and AO, whichever software exported them. Anything it cannot place is left for you to assign by hand.
Does it change my source textures?
No. Sources are only read; the combined maps are written to the output folder you choose.
What formats can it write?
EXR, PNG, TGA and JPG, at 8 or 16 bit, up to 8192, with UDIM tiles when you need them, and output names you set yourself.
Do I pay again for updates?
Yes. Fixes for serious bugs are free. Beyond those, you keep the version you bought, and later versions are available as a paid upgrade.
Can I use it on more than one computer?
Yes. It is a single .exe with nothing to install, so you can copy it to any computer you work on.
Windows says "Windows protected your PC", or my antivirus flags it.
The app isn't code-signed yet, so Windows shows this warning for new apps. Click "More info", then "Run anyway".
Is there a Mac version?
Not yet. The apps are Windows only for now.
Does it need internet? Does it collect any data?
No. It works offline, and nothing is sent anywhere unless you press Bug report.
