You receive two graphs for making equirectangular projected planet materials inside Substance Designer. One is for a rock planet and the other for a gas giant. You can use them for your game as they are, as a learning resource or as a starting point for your own planets.
Equirectangular projection is used for planet textures in many games, for instance Kerbal Space Program.
The graphs are based on these two portfolio projects, tho not identical. I did clean up and replaced all custom nodes that i used back then with my own since:
Rocky Planet Substance
Gas Giant Substance
I also wrote two blog posts about making these if you want to know more about it:
Seamless Tiling Planet Textures in Substance Designer
Tiling Planets in Substance Designer - Part 2
The graphs were exported with Substance Designer 2020.1.2.
- STW Gas Giant Planet SBS
- STW Rock Planet SBS
- 4k Textures
- Marmoset Scenes
For STW custom nodes in dependencies: You are free to use them unless i already sell them separately on the Artstation store. In that case the license only applies to work that is done based on these sbs files or in the context of additional planets for your game. For a full limitless license please purchase the nodes from my store.
Digital products are non refundable.
