I seem to be the only one disappointed among the reviewers... When I read "tutorial", I do not expect 50+ minutes of full rendering of a few selected pieces - unless it's a rendering tutorial, which is not what I was looking for. The actual principles were described in mostly under 5 minutes and the rest was just watching the artist draw, saying "I'm doing this and this and this". While some people may find it valuable, I expected something else. I wish that every principle had been applied to a variety of subjects (character, building, object, etc) rather than a single one (for example just tanks or trees), and no further than maybe a refined sketch, with many of them to see the principles applied in many different ways. I ended up skimming through most of the videos.
For exemple, I did find the part when he began drawing gesture lines on Disney illustrations very interesting. This is what I was expecting from an "Essentials" course. Too bad.

I would recommend this series to anyone who wish to start carrier in concept art. These are great introduction tutorials for beginners, but they can be useful even for seasoned professionals - since they do more then great job in covering fundamentals of concept design.

I have watched Vol.1 and 2 so far and I am looking forward to watching the rest. Each volume starts with a lesson, the principles of which are then demonstrated for the rest of the running time. There is full length narration.
It's quite hard to find good tutorials on design basics - many tutorials expect you to know these principles. This bundle seems like a good place to start.
