3D Volumetric Oak Wood

Amazing material - nothing else quite like it for texturing wooden sculpture / complex wooden geometry. Creates a strong sense of believability and three dimensionality. Don't forget to bake your position and world space normal maps before using.

This is a truly amazing product. As someone with woodworking background myself, most wood materials and textures available, even commercially, fall way short because they cannot produce accurate end grain or transitions between the two (e.g. for carved wood). However this material is very different. It's clearly been created by someone who really understands the nature of wood, grain, and oak wood, specifically. The ability to have realistic end-grain and medullary rays, for example, and to choosing the radial central point of the trunk, scale, etc, is amazing. This is by far the best wood material of any sort I've seen or used. I can't recommend it enough!
