Guide Creator is a commercial third-party tool for Autodesk Maya designed for fast guide curve generation using direction controls, and procedural modifiers.
The workflow is based on guide groups. You create a group on a selected mesh, place guide roots with Plant, define the flow with Direct, adjust lift and volume with Lift, refine the result with the profile graph and modifiers, and then convert the generated guides into regular Maya curves.
Guide Creator is built for character artists, groom artists, and technical artists who need a fast and controllable way to create guide curves inside Maya.

Release Notes
1.1.0 - Length Controls and Interactive Performance
- - Added the Length modifier with interactive surface controls, automatic control creation from arrows, reset support, and Shift/Ctrl editing.
- - Restored live targeting and drag feedback for Plant, Direct, Lift, and Length overlays.
- - Reduced CPU field construction and sampling overhead through native compact field data, cache reuse, and batched sampling.
- - Added GPU length-only field updates, subset guide solves, resident resource reuse, and incremental Clamp/display updates.
- - Preserved scene results, undo behavior, and CPU/GPU compatibility while reducing full solver and VP2 display rebuilds.
