HairCard Creator is a commercial third-party tool for Autodesk Maya designed to speed up the creation and editing of real-time hair cards.
The workflow is based on guide curves. You create guides on a scalp mesh, shape them with dedicated viewport tools, and generate procedural card meshes that remain editable through the HairCard Creator panel.

1.2.4 Fill, Recovery, and Workflow Update
- - Added Fill to the guide viewport marking menu. With two selected guides it distributes new roots along the segment between them; with three or more it distributes roots across the enclosed area. New roots follow the scalp and the generated guides interpolate the source guides and card settings.
- - Added independent in-place guide duplication to the viewport marking menu, preserving the source guide and card settings.
- - Added a UV Spacing Curve for adjusting longitudinal card UV distribution.
