Mecha Godzilla is a giant robotic monster and one of the most famous archenemies of Godzilla. First introduced by Toho in the 1974 film Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla, the character has evolved across multiple film eras. Depending on the movie, Mechagodzilla is built either by alien invaders looking to conquer Earth or by human military and tech corporations as a supreme weapon to destroy the King of the Monsters.
