Normal maps to improve the appearance of your surfaces =)
Recently I realized that I was completely lacking some kind of brushes or textures in order to add realistic folds to the surface.
There are plenty of brushes/alphas for cloth, but metal surfaces can't just use most of those cloth brushes, because it behave differently, which is obvious. And those textures for metals that I found were created for other purposes (they were either not realistic, or intended to create small noise on the surface and not big bends, dents e.t.c)
So I decided to scan my own library of crumpled surfaces, which is more suitable for this cases
You can use it as normal maps for metals, paper, cloth, even some rock formations...
Don't limit yourself to using only the whole texture, try to find some interesting piece and wash out rest of the texture
This normal maps were scanned from real surfaces, but height maps and curvature maps, which are also included in this pack were created automatically based on normal map, so it may be not so accurate, for example you will not have the same result as you can see on preview if you use height map as an alpha in Zbrush. But it will give some additional depth if you use it combined with normals. That's why I divided files into two zip files, so you can download only normal maps if you want and generate your own curvature and height maps depends on your needs.
Note that it's NOT tileable maps. But some of them flattened to 0 on the borders, so there will be no seams.
32 normal maps (+ additional height and 2 curvature)
