Fusion Script | Project Manager | VFX Grace

This is a multi-functional footage manager, mainly used for managing and checking footage in Fusion, recovering missing footage and packing footage with one click, finding unused and missing footage, checking if the paths of the footage are absolute paths, etc.

Fusion 9, Fusion 9 Studio, Fusion Studio 16, Fusion Studio 17 Beta

Python3.6 and PySide2 required

Method 1: Run ProjectManager.exe to install.

Method 2: Copy the folder—ProjectManager_v2_1_3—to the directory: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Blackmagic Design\Fusion\Scripts\Comp

Replace UserName with yours.

File Manager

1. Manage the files in projects, such as models, images, videos, LUT, Fuse, Macro, OFX, and fonts;

2. Check missing files;

3. Check the path of footage, and change it to a relative path; 

4. Count files in the project;

5. Relink the missing files;

6. Locate the external files and the Comp file;

7. Delete nodes and external files as needed;

8. Export footage list.

Node Manager

1. Check the information of each type of node: Fuse, Macro, invalid nodes, nodes with keyframes, wireless nodes, nodes in the absolute path, cache nodes, and output nodes.

2. Functions for different types of nodes: locate or delete output files; replace the source of Wireless Nodes, clear keyframes, locate cache files.

3. Export node list.

Project Packing

1. Pack the footage in the project.

2. Customize the file structure, support drag and drop.

Color Panel

1. Set node color: Set font color and tile color, reset node color;

2. Save the customized colors as presets, and load them later when needed;

3. Support picking colors with the picker.

1. The tool can run without starting Fusion.

2. Add language package to support switching language, which is located at Options-> Language. 

3. The filename extension can be automatically added if not inputted.

4. Support video formats: .asf, .wmvhd, .dat, .vob, .mpg, .mpeg, .3g2, .mkv, .rmvb, .qt, .ogv 

5. Add Fusion Node Preview in the Color Panel. 

6. Add color block in Node Color Setting. 

7. Limit dragging and dropping folders or files to sub-level to avoid incorrect file hierarchies. 

8. Add the function of exporting the absolute path in Node Manager.

Fixed:

1. Fix the bug of displaying incorrect text when refreshing the count of OFX and KDon in the Information Overview.

2. Fix the issue that there is no tip when a single file is renamed without extension. 

3. Fix the issue that there is no tip when a single file is renamed with an inconsistent extension.

4. Fix the bug that the serial number is identified incorrectly. 

5. Fix the bug that multiple nodes loading the same absolute path file are determined as the same node.

6. Fix the bug that the path of the footage whose name contains parentheses cannot be replaced when the project is packed. 

7. Fix the bug that the keyframe nodes whose name contains Chinese characters cannot be set color properly. 

8. Fix the bug of incorrect detection of keyframe nodes. 

9. Fix the bug of the unavailable magnifying glass in the setting color module. 

10. Fix the bug that the nodes whose name contains double quotes cannot be located.

11. Fix the bug that nodes are missing in the Node Search when the nodes are searched for based on the node type. 

Other:

1. Modify the layout of the Node Color Setting;

2. Remove the settings and improve the project packing in the Project Packing module; 

3. Remove Functions -> Delete Node;

4. Move 7 filtering options from the toolbar to the File List, which can work properly when File List runs individually;

5. Adjust toolbar spacing; 

6. Optimize the algorithm of searching for keyframe nodes, which is 16 times faster; 

7. Optimize the algorithm for searching for nodes based on the node type, which is 10 times faster; 

8. Optimize the algorithm for searching for nodes based on node color, which is 4 times faster 

9. Node Manager, showing instant search results when inputting the source’s name of the wireless nodes. The name is case insensitive. 

August 16, 2020 - v2.0:

2. Generate a note node of Saver nodes.

3. Recognize OFX nodes in the Studio version. 

4. Recognize KomkomDoorn nodes in the Studio version.

5. Add the function to display video thumbnails.

1. Fix the issue that the interface lock failed when the plug-in is restarted.

5. Fix the bug that the status of the sequence files is incorrect in the Internal Files VS External Files module. 

6. Fix the bug that the path is displayed incorrectly when switching filename and full path. 

7. Fix the issue that redundant underlines are added in the name of the automatically generated sequence file folder when the project is packed. 

Others:

1. Set the interface in a compact style, reducing the gaps between panels.

2. Optimize performance of Node Search.
