Alembic Hair Simulation in Unreal Engine Tutorial

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to set up and simulate XGen groom hair in Unreal Engine.

The XGen groom used in this tutorial was prepared and transferred from Maya using my automated XGen-to-Unreal tool. We’ll then take the groom into Unreal Engine and set it up for real-time hair simulation.

In this video, I cover:

• Setting up the imported XGen groom in Unreal Engine
• Preparing the groom for simulation
• Configuring the hair simulation
• Setting up the character and groom for dynamic movement
• Adjusting simulation parameters for natural hair motion
• Previewing and refining the simulation in Unreal Engine

The goal is to achieve natural and responsive hair movement as the character moves.
