This is a quick and relatively simple to use tool for anyone who would like to create alpha hair using Blender's built in particle system.
Please keep in mind that this is a quick tool I originally made for personal use.
This tool allows you to create multiple different alpha hair passes such as ambient occlusion, distance from camera, randomness per strand and strand length. The black and white maps can be combined into one singular RGB pass for faster rendering.

Added new Geometry Nodes Files
To use, simply append the collection in "GeoNode Curve to Mesh.blend", add a bezier curve, add the geometry nodes geoup to the curve and set the material to hair and the output to UVMap. You can now play around with the other settings to get it the way you like it!
