Advanced Timeline | Blender Addon

Advanced Timeline gives Blender a simple, clip-based way to organize and edit animation.

Instead of managing animations through several different editors, you can arrange them on a visual timeline similar to a video editor. Move clips, trim them, repeat them, change their speed, reverse them, and create smooth transitions directly with the mouse. 

Once your timeline is synchronized, everything is written into Blender’s standard animation system. Your scene can then be opened or rendered on another computer without the add-on installed, including render farms and FBX export workflows.

  Open a clip, edit its animation keys, and return to the timeline when finished.

  Add corrections on top of an existing animation without changing the original.
• Works with more than character animation
  Retiming is also supported for Alembic caches, VDB volumes, and video textures.
• Safe for existing projects
  The add-on only manages the animation tracks it creates and leaves your existing animation untouched.

Simple Workflow

1. Select an animated object.
2. Click Add to Timeline.
3. Arrange and edit the animation as a clip.
4. Press Play.

That’s it. With Auto Sync enabled, the add-on automatically keeps Blender’s animation data updated. 

Compatible with Blender 4.5 LTS–5.2 LTS on Windows and MacOS.
