We spend the last 3+ years learning everything we can about photogrammetry, and in this tutorial we decided to share with you everything we have learned. In this advanced tutorial you will learn multiple different workflows to create photo scanned content, from scanning walls and floors, to organic and urban objects, to foliage scanning and more.

TUTORIAL OVERVIEW
This tutorial will cover a very large number of in-depth topics.

• Vertical surface scanning - In this chapter we will showcase how to scan multiple types of vertical surfaces using a Professional camera and a gimbal.
• Ground Surface Scanning – In this chapter we will showcase how to scan ground surfaces using both an advanced rig which comes with a tripod, specialized lights and a camera. And we will also showcase a more easy and faster method of scanning using a gimbal and camera.
• Scanning Organic and Urban Objects – In these chapter we will go over on how to scan both organic and urban objects. And on how to turn them into game ready assets.
• Photometric stereo scanning – In this chapter we will showcase how to scan leaves and small bits of foliage using photometric stereo. Next to this we also included a bonus workflow on how to scan leaves and branches outdoor.
• Turntable scanning – In this chapter we will go over on how to scan small to medium scale objects using an automated turntable setup.
• Tree Scanning and processing – in this chapter we will showcase how to scan a tree and along with the scanned leaves and branches we will turn this into a fully-fledged game-ready tree.
• Mobile Scanning – In this chapter we will show how to scan objects using your phone and compare them to a DSLR camera.

The general takeaway of this tutorial is that at the end, you will have advanced knowledge on how to create various types of photogrammetry content, and you can apply this knowledge to bring your artwork to new heights!

We will showcase you both how to scan your content in real-life and on how to then process it for games and film on the computer.

SKILL LEVEL
This tutorial is intended for all skill levels. However we are using professional equipment to create our photogrammetry. But you can follow along with lower level equipment. We also do recommend that you know the basics of the software mentioned below.
