Ancient Vaulted Gallery Monumental Stone Ruins

A highly detailed 3D environment inspired by the architectural ruins depicted in the works of Hubert Robert. The scene recreates the monumental scale of classical stone architecture through towering columns, a fractured vaulted ceiling, and a dramatic natural light shaft illuminating the central nave.

The structure is built using the same modular wall system available in my Geometry Nodes pack, ensuring architectural consistency and clean modularity.

Materials are fully procedural and crafted through advanced node networks to achieve realistic stone wear, erosion, and subtle surface variation. FBX and STL versions include simplified or non‑procedural materials to ensure broad compatibility across different software.

To achieve accurate and atmospheric lighting, the scene uses a volumetric cube driven by a Principled Volume shader and the free Blender add‑on “Sun Position”. Without this add‑on, correct sun alignment and lighting behavior cannot be guaranteed.

This environment contains 3.45 million vertices and 3 million polygons, reflecting the level of detail required to capture the depth and complexity of the original inspiration.
