North American Animal-Themed Chess Set

A North American Animal-Themed Chess Set, ready to be 3D printed. Included in this product are:

STL models of 12 Chess Pieces.

• Moose (King)
• Elk (Queen)
• Swan (Bishop)
• Ram (Knight)
• Bison (Rook)
• Pronghorn (Pawn)
• Grizzly (King)
• Wolves (Queen)
• Eagle (Bishop)
• Puma (Knight)
• Alligator (Rook)
• Bobcat (Pawn)

Duplicate as necessary.

Each chess piece has a front and back section that snap together. 

*Board not included.

This set follows the size conventions of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) :

• King: -Height 9.5 cm / 3.74"
           -Width 4.75 cm / 1.87"
• Queen: -Height 8.5 cm / 3.35"
              -Width 4.25 cm / 1.67"
• Bishop: -Height 7 cm / 2.76"
               -Width 3.5 cm / 1.38"
• Knight: -Height 6 cm / 2.36"
              -Width 3.5 cm / 1.38"
• Rook: -Height 5.5 cm / 2.17"
            -Width 3.5 cm / 1.38"
• Pawn: -Height 5 cm / 1.97"
             -Width 2.5 cm / .98"

But the STLs can be sized up or down as needed.

This set also has STLs of the Hex Bolts and Nuts that are inserted as counterweights at the base of each piece.

*For a faster print and heavier weight per piece, metal hex bolts from the hardware store are recommended.

*Be sure to screw the nut partway onto the bolt before snapping the front and back sections together.

The Bolt/Nut sizes are:

• King/Queen: 
    -Metric: M10(threads depth)- 20mm(threads length)
    -Inches: 3/8"(threads depth)- 3/4"(threads length)
• Bishops/Knights/Rooks/Pawns:
    -Metric: M6(threads depth)- 12mm(threads length)
    -Inches: 1/4"(threads depth)- 1/2"(threads length)
