Job Description
What will you do?
- Work with artists and engineers to create and implement 3D art and technical solutions.
- Support artists and engineers in the use of the 3D art pipeline and tool-chains.
- Provide hands-on support to artists and engineers in regard to asset performance and validation.
- Review creative process and identify opportunities for tool improvements and automatizations.
- Develop 3D art pipeline tools and workflows with an eye towards usability and efficiency.
- Solve challenging technical issues in the 3D asset pipeline.
- Collaborate with engineers and testers to diagnose and resolve in-game problems.
- Inspire and empower the art team to optimise their assets and processes.
- Collaborate with partner studios to share technology, workflows and best practices.
Skills & Requirements
What will you need?
- 5+ years experience as Technical Artist in 3D content pipelines for the games industry
- 3+ years experience working on mobile games for Android and/or iOS
- Very strong Unity experience
- Professional experience as tools programmer
- Experience with shader development in game engines
- Ability to work with and create technical documentation
- Proficient in Autodesk Maya, 3DS Max, Photoshop, Substance, etc
- Good bilingual knowledge (English/Spanish)
- Good artistic skills (proportion, color, composition)
- Passion for video-games and extensive knowledge of different game genres
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Positive attitude and a genuine team player
- A great ability to think creatively to overcome technical challenges.
- Mandatory work permit for Spain
What makes you a rock-star?
- Experienced developing custom tools for DCC software (Maya or other similar software)
- Knowledge of high level coding language. (Python, MaxScript, Perl, C#, etc.)
- Experience creating assets (high/low-poly modelling, unwrapping, baking, texturing, level building)
- Professional experience with diverse game editors and engines
