Your Mission
Infinity Ward is currently seeking a Lighting Artist.
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Collaborate well with others including Art Direction, Level Designers, Environment Artists, Visual Effects Artists, Engineering and Team Leads to deliver quality lit scenes for compelling game environments
- Creation of static and dynamic lighting using our proprietary game engine software
- Produce high end visuals within memory constraints and performance guidelines
- Have the capacity to be self-sufficient and solve technical issues that arise during level lighting process
Skills & Requirements
Player Profile
Minimum Requirements:
- 2+ years of lighting experience on current gen consoles or PC hardware
- Solid understanding and experience creating real-time lighting using dynamic and pre-baked light map pipeline
- Understanding composition and the ability to enhance mood and reinforce narrative using lighting
- Working knowledge of Photoshop and 3ds Max or equivalent
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with both Artists and Engineers across large teams
- Work samples must show quality real-time lighting on current gen consoles or PC
- Knowledge of color theory and strong sense of contrast, light and shadow
- Understanding of industry standard real-time rendering methods including Physically Based Rendering techniques
- Knowledge of camera terms such as exposure, aperture, ISO, shutter speed, white balance
- Ability to follow design reference and Art Direction
- Experience in one or more scripting or programming languages
