Job Description

We are looking for a Hard Surface / Weapon Artist to join our growing team!

Responsibilities:

  • Create high quality models and assets (Weapons and gadgets) in both high-poly and low-poly versions
  • Help team in creating packages for outsource, as well as reviewing and optimizing weapon models provided by outsource
  • Possess the organizational skills and have the expertise to complete weapon models from start to finished textured assets
  • Ability to take direction and to quickly address Art Direction and Animation feedback
  • Must work well with other disciplines in a studio environment

Skills & Requirements

  • 3+ years of AAA experience in a game industry pipeline
  • Expert in 2D/3D Software packages (Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter/Designer, Mari, Photoshop)
  • Expert in creating materials for models, including experience working with a PBR workflow
  • Highly creative and an expert in both modern and futuristic hard surface design
  • Experience in creating weapon models that are ready for animation
  • Experience working in a fast paced AAA Studio production pipeline
  • Self-motivated problem solver with the ability to work well independently

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in the games industry
  • 2+ shipped AAA titles as a weapon/ hard surface artist
  • Ability to quickly learn new software tools and pipelines
  • Experience working in game engines
  • Expert in creating polished models for use in games
  • Expertise in optimizing meshes for games
  • Ability to concept original weapons/gadgets
