Jedi Knights comes in Male/Female versions, that's the first time I'm trying such kind of work. Please understand that this is not about to be a common rule for the next characters I will create. It also does not tease any future update on other characters available. They remain more individual designs, instead of here where the goal is to allow for building your own using a given number of variant pieces (models, textures, animations...etc. You can go quite far with these !)
Both genders files come in 3 versions :
- One FBX with Model+skeleton+skin+animation,
- One FBX with Model only (so you can import it in maya/3dsmax/blender...etc and rig/skin it yourself)
- One AKT file containing the skinned and rigged FBX with few animation samples so you can have a first idea on how to animate characters (feel free to erase/rework them and/or add new ones ;)). This file works with Akeytsu 2020-3-13 and above, you can get the software here : https://www.nukeygara.com/try
FBX are made to be used in realtime game engines and uses custom vertices normals (supported everywhere, it's good to lock/make explicit Vtx Normals before any edit in order to keep them as is). But you can import them where you want, as long as the target engine supports FBX file format and ideally joints/animation
Male features different models than Female. Here's a list for each :
Male :
- 3 boots (Templar, Consular, Fougue)
- 5 lightsaber hilts (4 single, 1 double)
- Face/Hands
- Eyebrows
- Zabrak horns
- Base outfit
- Long sleeves
- Short sleeves
- Cloth bands
- Hairstyle long
- Hairstyle semi-long
- 5 different beards
Female :
- 3 boots (Templar, Consular, Fougue)
- 5 lightsaber hilts (4 single, 1 double)
- Face/Hands
- Eyebrows
- Zabrak horns
- Base outfit
- Long sleeves
- Short sleeves
- Cloth bands
- Hairstyle long
- Hairstyle with ponytail
- Twilek Tentacles/Headband
These models are separated inside the FBX/Akeytsu scene so you can decide to hide/show/Export the combination you need efficiently
Textures consists in several UVSets : 1x4096²(Character Jedi Suits) 7x2048²(Hairstyles/Skin/Lightsaber hilts 1 2 3 4 & 5) & 1x2048x4096(Twi'Lek, Female only)
Character skins offers several colors, so you can mix the suits with different skin colors and have tons of different jedis rapidly.
Skin contains also Zabrak horns and eyebrows (this to avoid having to load the whole stack of hairstyle textures in case of a bald character, and reduces memory use ;))
Skin also contains a specific eyecolor per skin color. If you want to change this feel free to edit the textures, they are stored in those maps to reduce drawcalls in case you need to load tons of Jedis in a scene ;)
Character Suits are declied in 3 variants : "Templar" (Similar to Coruscant archives Jedis schemes), "Consular" (similar to classic Jedi outfits like Obi-Wan or Qui-Gon), and "Fougue" (with shinny dark leather bands, like the Chosen one ;))
Each suit texture set comes with 3 variants for the boots models, so you have a total of 9 boots to arrange your Jedis (Templar are pale beige/Consular are brownish/Fougue are the darkest ones)
Textures were made on 3D-Coat using this pack : https://www.artstation.com/vexod14/store/Wmw1/3d-coat-38-stylized-pbr-smartmaterials
