Drawing a figure in every pose from every camera angle without a reference is a skill that not everybody has. I use references all the time, but what if you dont find the right pose, or the right camera angle, and what if there is nobody around that you can take a picture from? I have a solution for that. I show you how to get the freedom to create countless poses and explore your own camera angles for your project.
In this course you will learn how to build your own character, how to rig it, how to animate it and how to get it into Photoshop. And the best thing about it: YOU DON'T HAVE TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT 3D! Yes, it is true, if you have never been introduced to 3D, because you don't have the time to learn a complicated 3D program, you came to the right place. We will stay in our comfort zone, Photoshop! I show you all you have to know about Photoshop's 3D powers to use it for your 3D characters. As a plus, I show you a nice character configurator we can work with, to unleash our creativity.
I am Torben Weit, a professional Illustrator and 3D artist, working for games, bok publisher and advertising. I would like to show you, that 3D doesn't have to be complicated and time consuming to learn.
Are there any requirements for this course? You need a valid subscription for at least Photoshop, and you should know how to use the 2D tools, as I only concentrate to teach you the 3D functions. To work with the character configurator, you need a full Adobe Creative Cloud subscription, but you can use this course with Photoshop only, too. Technically, if Photoshop runs smoothly on your computer, there should be no problems with the performance. And you need an internet connection on your workstation.
