Fantasy City - Painting an Environment Illustration  

This is a painting process of my latest epic fantasy painting Amanith City. This package contains my recorded process using Photoshop from start to finish sped up 5x. There is also a short audio commentary on the steps.

My process for this painting is chaotic in a sense because I took an extremely rough sketch into the final illustration using only basic brushes. There is no use of 3D, and no use of layers to separate elements. Colors bleed into each other and edges get blurred.

This approach to painting is a bit messier than usual but it is great for doing concepts and spontaneous illustrations. This was inspired by Craig Mullin's spontaneous approach to painting.
