I've used this product in one project so far to postwork the textures on some old 3D Assets with less than stellar texture map resolution. I'm not all that good at this type of postwork yet, but this product made a substantial improvement to the final image (which I will hopefully complete and post sometime soon =)

I recommend using this product due to it's versatility in application, I also recommend to use it as an opening move before sculpting wood texture manually,and add blur modifier if you feel the alpha is too harsh for your style, overall it's a great product.
