Great tutorial. Work Fine with version UE5.5.1, of course some issues need to be polished but it is work for epic. Anyway great tutorials, complex shader with a lot of variety, great job! One thing that is missing in my opinion in this course is vegetation mask for automatic landscape, but still 5*

Good Tutorial, Everything explained in detail per step. TBH I knew all steps to making a landscape material like this already, there was still few tips on things I was struggling with which has really helped! I can see Texture size (or lack of) has been my largest issue. Also I hope you Finally Got Gaea 2 working!

I just finished the course, and I have to say it's simply amazing. The best information on landscape material I've ever encountered. I can't stop myself and need to get a few more courses, Michael! )))

I just completed the tutorial following the latest update — it's the best landscape tutorial I've encountered so far. All the included features, such as Distance Blending, Texture Bombing, RVT, Parallax Occlusion, and the Nanite Tessellation option, are great. The update also allows for more precise control over our layers, achieving a perfect balance between procedural and manual methods. This series of tutorials is fantastic; not only does Michael explain things well and step-by-step, but he is also quick to respond and always eager to assist with any issues. Considering the quality of the tutorials, the upcoming updates, and the excellent support, I highly recommend this course. I’m eagerly anticipating the next updates, especially the one on tessellation for Unreal 5.4.

Very conflicted about the quality of the product... On one side, the material is really good. But on the other side, there are features that do not work together, there is no explanation about how to exclude foliage from spawning somewhere manually. Small things like that add up...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review Yura. There are some missing features on the shader, I agree, but they should be included in the next update.

I have been using ue since 2014 (mostly in Archviz), this is the most useful auto landscape tutorial i did buy, finished in 2 days . And i hope that you can update it with another video showing the Nanite Tessellation technique used in Marvel 1943 Demo when the Ue 5.4 will be lauched Merci Beaucoup Michael, Houssem Mrabet Paris.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review Houssem. I really appreciate it and I'm glad to read that you liked the course. I will update the shader with the 5.4 tessellation when is available in stable version.

Just finished up the tutorial. That was awesome! And I'd like to say that it contains incredibly usefull tips and tricks for landscape shader creation workflow. Especially, tricks like Distance Blending & Texture Bombing features which avoid noticeable repetiton in Texture Tilling. The shader result is differs from other Landscape shaders I did on Michael's Ultimate Scene Creation courses, Landscape is looking more realistic right now without noticeable texture repetition. Nanite Tessellation is a great feature also, liked that Michael showed how to integrate it in a project. Hope to use it once out of beta, without tessellation Landscape looks flat and Parallax Occlusion, unfortunately, has visual artifacts on slopes. I also liked that we used Material Functions and named rerouts to make less "noodles" in Material Graphs. There are a lot of tutorials about Landscape shaders on YouTube, but for me it's better to be explained from scratch by Michael.
