ColorIDPicker is a Photoshop script that toggles between currently active layer and tool and "ColorID" layer and Magic Wand tool making it faster to work with selections. 

The script is build for a workflow where a flat color layer is used for making selections. This is a common workflow in illustration, comic book coloring and touch-up of 3D renders. ColorIDPicker is meant to be used bound to a shortcut for efficiency.

Included in the package are the ColorIDPicker scripts, PDF with set-up instructions and a zip folder of reference images of the different settings. Assets are provided as is –ColorIDPicker has been tested on Photoshop CC 2018 and CC 2019.

Release Notes

This release adds preferences dialog which makes it easy to change default settings straight inside Photoshop. The script is also updated to the free category that did not exist at the time of it's original release.
