Due to the size of the graphs it is recommended to have at least 32GB of RAM (you can open the graphs with only 16GB of RAM but expect longer loading times and swapping to disk).
Material is performance heavy! To be able to tweak the parameters smoothly, use a PROXY MODE (custom switch in parameters). This mode disables computationally heavy parts of the graph, significantly improving performance while tuning the parameters. It is also recommended to use low resolution (e.g. 1K) while working with parameters and High resolution (e.g. 4K, 8K) only when exporting final textures.
