His name is Darek Mazur and he is a polish hussar knight. The character is modelled in quads and is subdivided with a Turbosmooth modifier. Different texturing/shading workflows where used on this character. Some objects are UV-unwrapped, others rely on tileable maps and the use of Vray Curvature Map for masking. For example most of his armor (metal parts) and leather straps. The Face and his clothing are properly UV-unwrapped and have a sculpted displacement map and a painted texture. The smaller parts have a resolution of 2048x2048 and the bigger geometry a resolution of 4096x4096.
The character comes with a basic rig for posing and a simple face rig with morph targets for eye blink. It can be used for animation though I would not recommend that since there are a lot of moving parts (armor) that need to be animated by hand and cloth intersection. The skinning is basic so that it works for the rendered pose.
The fur on his coat is created with V-RayFur and his facial hair with the 3d Max Hair and Fur modifier. You can use the character with or without his beard as you can see in the renderings. In the .zip file will be the 3d Max 2017 scene with the poses and cameras as seen in the previews. There will be a separate texture folder in which you will find all the textures. You will also find the lights consisting of one VRay HDRI light, one key light and one rim light in the file. Rendering was done in V-Ray 3.6.
