Who are these scans for?
These scans are for any creatives—raw ingredients to add to your projects. Whether you kitbash them together, Use them as a reference, 2D or 3D, there are unlimited uses for a library of scans. Check out our tutorials for some ideas.
What exactly am I getting in the package?
Think of it as the raw ingredients for your projects.
-assorted untextured, .obj, lightly decimated meshes.
-2 mannequins for scale
Where are the textures/details?
-Scansmash does not include any color or material information. Scansmash does not include major or unique brands. Scansmash does not replicate any color or logo trademarks. Where appropriate, key design features are altered from the original.
Although your uses may differ, we intend our product to be a starting point for your creative endeavors. Get creative, have fun and smash some scans together.
Why don't the meshes have thickness? Why aren't they watertight?
We believe this is the easiest way to work with scans. It's easier to add thickness than to take it away. Check out our tutorials on adding thickness.
My mesh has a hole? My mesh is missing a piece?
Although Scansmash strives to make quality scans every time, we are also trying to balance the amount of content we offer with quality. Sometimes, pieces of objects don't get scanned in their entirety. Usually, these would be smaller hidden areas and should not significantly affect your workflow.
