Junior Environment Artist

Junkfish is looking for an Junior Environment Artist to join our Scottish BAFTA nominated team in Dundee. You will have the opportunity to join an expanding team to work on an ambitious and highly creative new project.
You will be working within a small and highly skilled team of artists, creating various assets necessary for the monthly content pushes and milestones. You must be versatile and able to contribute your own ideas that promote the games overall creative vision.
Championing ideas from concept to completion, you must be a positive team-player that provides constructive feedback as well as being open to accepting the feedback of others.
Most importantly, you must have a strong passion for games and a desire to develop your skills to achieve the highest quality work in the best possible time-frame.
Create genre specific, realistic and imaginative game environments.
Keep up to date with current rendering technologies, plugins and pipelines.
Optimise environments, materials and lighting to improve the user experience.
Work to the same established tone as defined by the concept art.
Create vehicles, props and environmental visual effects.
Skills & Requirements
Demonstrate a spectacular graduation portfolio that’s full of environment art.
Experience with Maya.
Knowledge of the art production process.
Workable knowledge of the Unity game engine.
Ability to create any environment type or hard surface prop, with flair and imagination.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Interest in asset collection such as Photography
Experience with Substance Suite.
