Supermassive Games are seeking a Senior VFX Artist to work on one of our exciting new projects!

You will be pushing forward the boundaries of what is possible on next gen platforms and high-end PC GPU’s!

 Key skills and Responsibilities

  • Engaging with the creative process to design and create innovative and high quality VFX
  • Implementing VFX within Unreal
  • Collaborating with other disciplines such as lighting and environment artists, graphics programmers and level designers to create a great game experience
  • You have VFX experience in commercial games development or in an allied field such as TV or Film production
  • A strong portfolio of work which demonstrates the ability to create visually impressive VFX which are sympathetic to the needs of the product
  • A good understanding of physical behaviour and motion in the creation of VFX - including a strong sense of timing
  • Experience using the Unreal Engine for the creation and deployment of effects is essential.
  • You have VFX experience in commercial games development or in an allied field such as TV or Film production

Technical Skills/Knowledge

  • Expertise with other industry standard real-time particle editors (UNITY, CryENGINE, Houdini)
  • Photoshop
  • Experience with After Effects and previsualization tools is an advantage

About the Company

We are a BAFTA-winning, independent game developer with a reputation for innovation in both storytelling and VR. We have released a number of successful titles and are best known for the critically acclaimed PS4 hit Until Dawn and the recently launched The Dark Pictures Anthology. The latter is a series of stand-alone horror games for PS4, Xbox and PC.  The first game in the anthology was Man of Medan, released in 2019, followed by Little Hope in 2020.  The third instalment in the anthology, House of Ashes, will be released in 2021.
