Job Description

Designer, Senior Level 

Twisted Pixel Games is seeking a highly motivated, talented, and passionate Designer to join our team and be a primary contributor to the design, development, and execution of our awesome games. The ideal candidate will be highly creative and versatile with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, and implement game mechanics and systems including designing level challenges and encounters.
  • Work directly with artists, programmers, animators and other game designers to contribute to and implement the vision of the game.
  • Perform research to acquire new knowledge necessary to perform assigned tasks.
  • Complete tasks in a timely fashion as well as making sure they are robust, expandable, and fun.

Skills & Requirements

  • 5+ years of games industry experience.
  • A strong sense of game design.
  • Excellent and effective communication skills.
  • Exceptional team player with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
  • Strong methodology and problem-solving abilities.
  • Scripting experience (Blueprint, Lua, etc).
  • Must be passionate about games.

Pluses:

  • In-depth knowledge of content development tools and various engines such as Unreal and Unity.
  • Experience developing for VR products.

All applicants must currently be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

This position is located in Austin, Texas. You must be local to Austin prior to start date.
