Conquer the (natural) environments with us!

As a Foliage / Environment Artist you create high-quality natural assets from conceptual mock-ups, to modelling and texturing, to final placement in the environment. Your main focus is realistic foliage assets in order to create a believable and immersive world for our players!

Your contribution 

As a Foliage / Environment Artist, your main tasks and responsibilities are: 

  • Create organic nature assets such as vegetation, rocks and terrain, using SpeedTree, ZBrush, Maya, Substance Painter and Substance Designer;
  • Place assets into levels to create beautiful landscapes in collaboration with level designers to ensure a fun game flow;
  • Ensure functionality of your assets, such as setup of destruction, and optimization to meet technical requirements;
  • Work closely with the game director and concept Artists to maintain a consistent world and achieve the vision of the game.

Skills & Requirements

Our requirements

Are you a Foliage / Environment Artist, and do you recognize yourself in the following? 

  • You have 3 or more years of experience creating art for AAA game level project and shipped at least one title; 
  • You have strong skills in organic modeling and texturing, with an understanding of technical constraints and pipeline, and how it affects asset creation;
  • Proficient with Maya, PBR workflow, and one or more current major game engines such as Unreal Engine;
  • Familiar with Substance designer and Substance painter;
  • Strong understanding of form, environment composition, silhouette, detail distribution, and lighting – which is portrayed in your (online) portfolio;
  • Understanding of shaders, either node based construction or code (hlsl);
  • Good English communication skills (verbal and written).

Bonus qualifications

It’s not necessary, but would be extra helpful if you have: 

  • Familiarity with additional industry standard art packages such as Z-Brush, Substance and Modo;
  • Scripting and level design experience;
  • Completed side projects such as indie-titles, mods or equivalent;
  • Programming skills or interest in programming.

Practical information

Scope: Full-time 40 hours per week, and permanent position. Relocation aid is offered for the right candidate and remote work is a possibility. 

Location: Stockholm, remote can be facilitated for the right candidate.
