We are looking for a SENIOR ENVIRONMENT ARTIST to play a lead role on a AAA level project, working on cutting edge graphics and visual effects systems to redefine industry benchmarks.

We have exciting next-gen projects lined up with the aim of creating a truly AAA experience pushing the boundaries in UE4 & UE5.
As a Senior Environment Artist we are looking for someone with skills in some of the following areas: Creating PRB correct shaders and materials, create PRB correct tiling and unique textures, creating awesome models, interacting with lighting and dress the world in a believable way to tell stories.
We are looking for people with experience of working on published console titles with a wide knowledge of industry tools. Familiarity with art creation and PRB pipelines is essential.
You will be part of a dynamic team whose key responsibility is to push for quality and efficiency wherever possible. Your role works across all art teams to help define and assist flexible content pipelines, working collaboratively on new cutting edge features, whilst always searching for ways we can improve.
Responsibilities
- Create PBR correct textures, materials and shaders
- Create high quality high and low polygon models
- Dress the world in a believable way to tell stories
- Interact with lighting
- Stay up to date on trends and methodologies in current and future graphics software and hardware to develop early planning of tools and processes
- Participate in the development of technology road maps and tools
- Optimise content for memory and performance but retaining visual quality
- Be aware of potential risks to the project and bring it to the attention of management
- Collaborate with team leads to identify and develop art production processes and technologies that meet artists’ needs for creating high quality art with limited resources
- Collaborate to decide on the best working practices
- Provide feedback and advise team members on the project
- Support the Art Director, Technical Director and Lead Artist in any ad hoc tasks and duties
Skills & Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good knowledge of standard asset creation process for PS5/XBSX generation consoles
- Expert knowledge of creating models efficiently and sticking to budgets
- Expert knowledge of PBR correct textures and materials
- Expert knowledge in Substance Designer and Painter
- Experience with HDR pipelines is a positive
- Experience in lighting is a positive
- Experiencing in optimising scenes is a positive
- Experience in UE4 (or similar game engine) in creating materials/shaders is a positive
- Experience in industry standard art tools such as 3DS Max/Maya
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
Experience
- 5 years’ minimum experience in texture, environment, character, technical art or other relevant experience
- Worked on at least 1 game within the texture/shader creation discipline, preferably a AAA title
- Bachelor’s degree in art, design, technical discipline or other relevant training
