Job Description
Brown Bag Films is currently looking for 2D Rigger to work with the company alongside with our leading creators, producers and distributors. Our aim as a community is to deliver award-winning animated and live action contents for young audiences around the world. The Rigging Artist will be responsible for building assets provided by a Design team to support Animation.
A Rigger must communicate and report to the Rigging Supervisor. An individual must be able to follow established rigging conventions. If you can manage all of this, then you, mystery applicant, are exactly who we are looking for! We are looking for an experienced Rigger with intermediate to senior level experience as a must have.
Skills & Requirements
Responsibilities
- Communicate and collaborate with other Riggers and a Rigging Supervisor
- Deliver assigned assets on time
- Build and Rig designs that meet production standards
- Identify problems and ask questions when needed
- Aims for consistency of the rigs throughout the production
- Take direction from a Rigging Supervisor
- Balance working independently and with the Rigging team after taking directions from the Supervisor in production planning or technical passes
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of 2D Animation principles*
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with Toon Boom Harmony*
- Diploma or Bachelor's in Animation is required*
- Provide a Demo-Reel or a developed character rig sample for evaluation as proof of experience*
- Strong drawing skill is an asset
- Knowledgeable of Shotgun, Microsoft Office and Teams software
- Excellent communication, problem solving and time management skills
- Being well-versed in using Toon Boom Harmony shortcuts and attaining Toon Boom Certification are bonuses
