WE’RE SEEKING

An experienced Technical Artist with Unity engine experience for a remote position (minimum of 40 hours per week required). Qualified applications may be asked to complete a skills test as part of the interview processes.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with 3d models of exteriors, interiors and characters

  • Diagnose and cleanup topology, UV’s and textures

  • Import 3D assets into Unity

  • Familiarity with FBX file format and Maya

  • Ability to diagnose and fix character rigging and weighting issues

  • Set up and optimize PBR materials, lighting and reflections in Unity

  • Optimize project in Unity to meet the performance requirements of mobile and desktop VR hardware

  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of designers, artists, developers and UX specialists to ensure the product vision is conveyed in an impactful and expressive manner

Skills & Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

4-5 years experience as a Technical Artist

  • High level of proficiency with Unity mobile/VR experience

  • Experience with performance optimization for mobile and standalone VR (Oculus) hardware limitations

  • Experience with multi-player applications

  • Experience modeling and texturing 3D assets

  • Experience with Unity Character Controllers

  • Excellent level of proficiency with Maya

  • Experience with game characters and 3d assets

  • Shader creation experience

  • Excellent eye for lighting, color and detail

  • Strong digital art skills and portfolio

  • Passion for immersive experiences

  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experience working remotely preferred

  • Experience with rigging and skinning in Maya is bonus
